Year 1    

Welcome to Year 1!

 

We look forward to working with you this year to support your child in their learning and growth. 

Please do not hesitate to speak to us if you have any questions or worries and we will do our best to help.

Key Information

P.E. Days: Wednesday and Thursday (Children must wear white t-shirts; a dark coloured top e.g. school jumper/hoodie; dark coloured joggers/leggings/shorts and trainers/plimsolls. 

Library Day: Monday

Reading Books: New books to go home on Wednesday and must be returned on Tuesday (Reading Folders must come into school daily). Please try to read with your child every day and sign their reading diary at least twice a week.

Homework: To go out on Friday and must be returned by Wednesday.

Dojos: Children receive dojo points for following the school rules; reading at home and effort with homework. The children will receive prizes at the 100, 200 and 300 mark. 

Attendance and Uniform: Children will be rewarded for good attendance, punctuality and wearing the correct uniform. All uniform should be labelled with your child's name so that we can support them to find lost items.

Water Bottles: Please ensure your child brings a named water bottle  to school every day. Children are able to re-fill these through out the day.
