Year 5

Welcome to our Year 5 page!

Here you can find information on what your child is learning in school and how you can help your child learn. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us either at the end of the school day or via the school office.

Miss Gooing and Miss Idris

Key Information

PE- Monday and Tuesday. PE kit consists of plain blue/black shorts or jogging bottoms, a plain white t-shirt, plain blue/black jumper and black trainers.

Homework- Handed out on Friday and due to be handed in on Wednesday. All homework will be explained before given, and will focus on the learning we will have completed within the week, so nothing should be a surprise.

Reading Diaries – Each child has been provided with a reading diary. Children should be reading for at least 20 minutes per day. The expectation is that their diary is signed by an adult at home (or sibling) at least 3 times a week. You do not need to write a lengthy note about what pages have been read or what you discussed (though you can if you like), just write the date, book title and sign. When a child has read 5 times, they will receive a Reading Raffle ticket. This raffle is drawn at the end of each term.

Please send your child into school with a water bottle.

We are a nut free school so please do not send any items that may contain nuts in packed lunches.
